About

Nurturing Tomorrow, One Child at a Time

The Mission of Newman Childcare & Preschool

Newman Childcare and Preschool is a six-week to twelve-year-old childcare and preschool program that welcomes all children and families. Our children are provided care in a nurturing environment that focuses on the individual child. Our Newman Childcare and Preschool staff are committed to providing peace of mind to parents by offering quality care, enriched development, and positive life experiences for their children.

The philosophy of Newman Childcare Center is rooted in a set of strongly held beliefs. We believe that each child is a unique individual, and that success in our program comes from the dedication of our staff. We are committed to providing a physical environment that is safe, clean, healthy, and oriented toward children, paired with a positive approach to discipline. Above all, we believe that parents are the most significant adults in a child's life.

Since 1986, our center has provided the highest quality childcare and early childhood education for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.

Hours and Availability

Open five days a week, year-round, from 6:15 am. to 6:00 pm. We are closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and Christmas Day.

Care and Curriculum

Each age group is supervised by a dedicated Unit Leader, along with trained staff. Children enjoy supervised rest periods along with "early riser" activities for those who wake early, as well as appealing, nutritious meals and snacks that follow Federal Food Program guidelines.

Facilty and Safety

Our center is a safe, well-equipped, air-conditioned facility with outdoor playground areas. For added security, the building is locked at all times — parents are given an individual code for entry, while visitors without a code must buzz in. All staff are CPR and First Aid certified.

Creative Curriculum

Creative Curriculum is a research-based, play-centered approach that helps children learn through exploration, discovery, and meaningful hands-on experiences.

Teachers create engaging learning opportunities based on children’s interests and individual developmental needs.

Through purposeful play, children build important skills in language, literacy, math, science, social-emotional development, and physical development.

This approach encourages curiosity, creativity, independence, and confidence while preparing children for future success in school and beyond.
